Welcome!
Hello everyone, I’m Aswathy. I was born and raised in Kottayam, Kerala, India, a place close to my heart, full of flavors and traditions that shaped who I am today. Twenty-four years ago, life brought me to North Carolina, and somewhere along the way, this place became home.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to start a blog—mostly to share my love for cooking. But the idea kept sitting in the back of my mind. I would think about it often, dream up names and posts, but never actually began. Then, one weekend, my son came home, saw me still lingering in the brainstorming stage, and decided to act, he set everything up for me. And just like that, what had been a long-time dream suddenly became real.
Dinner is the one meal we always sit down and enjoy together, so I try to keep it interesting. I’m not much of a planner; in fact, most days I start thinking about what to cook only after my morning coffee. Sometimes I’ll pull a recipe from one of my cookbooks, other times I’ll experiment, adding a little twist here or there. The real test, of course, is my family’s reaction—if they love it, the recipe earns a spot in my collection.
Through this blog, I hope to share not just recipes, but also the little tips and techniques I’ve picked up along the way. I’d love for you to join me on this journey. Your questions, thoughts, and comments mean a lot to me, and I’ll do my very best to respond to each one.
So, here I am, finally taking the first step. Thank you for being here—I’m excited to cook, experiment, and share this adventure with you.
